'Euphoria 3': Labrinth reveals real reason behind his exit; says 'don’t let people treat me like...'
Labrinth, the talented musician behind some iconic tracks, has stepped away from 'Euphoria 3', citing experiences of disrespect and deception within the entertainment realm. Refusing to compromise his principles while contributing to another's creative vision, he chose to part ways, which has led to cinematic composer Hans Zimmer stepping in as the new music maestro for the show.
Last month, it was reported that famous singer and musician Labrinth, who has been with the ‘Euphoria’ team since season 1, will not be a part of their latest season. Fans and netizens alike since then had been wondering about what exactly happened behind the scenes. Not only that, but after his departure, Hans Zimmer took over the music for the third season as well. In a recent post, Labrinth finally broke his silence and revealed why it all came down to this and how people will lie in this industry all the time.

Why did Labrinth leave ‘Euphoria’

Taking to his social media account, the famed ‘Kill for Your Love’ singer revealed what was one of the reasons why he quit Zendaya’s show in the first place. The singer revealed, “I spoke to HBO, as far as I know, we are cool. I left because, last truth, when I work for someone, their vision is paramount to me, but I don’t let people treat me like s***.”In another part of his post, Labrinth also seemingly replied to Sam Levinson (creator of ‘Euphoria’) about a recent statement he made to Rolling Stone. During the interview, Levinson had briefly touched upon the topic of Labrinth’s departure and had commented that he didn’t know.

In a seemingly direct reply, Labrinth wrote, “People will comfortably lie in this industry and still call themselves honest people.
So no cap, I decided to remove whatever music I had in it.”

About Labrinth and ‘Euphoria’

Labrinth had been a part of the ‘Euphoria’ team from the get-go and was credited with creating the majority of the music for the first two seasons. This included songs such as ‘All for Us’, ‘Formula’, ‘Mount Everest’, ‘Never Felt So Alone’, and many others. His scoring for the show was heavily praised, with many fans of the show pointing out that the ‘trippy’ vibe of ‘Euphoria’ was all thanks to Labrinth. His song ‘All of Us’, which was a collaboration with ‘The Drama’ star Zendaya, also earned him an Emmy Award in 2020.
