Moreover, Flueger will be returning soon to the sets of the police department. The ‘Chicago’ franchise is well-versed in accommodating the actors when they feel the need to take a break from their roles. Previously, the ‘Chicago Fire’ star Taylor Kinney had returned to the role after a 10-month interval.

About the character

As for Flueger’s character, he married Detective Kim Burgess (played by Marina Squerciati) in the Season 12 finale after a long on-and-off relationship. They live with their daughter, Makayla, whom they adopted in Season 8. Moreover, Adam Rezuk’s father has been diagnosed with the unfortunate Alzheimer’s disease, living in a nursing home. In the current 13th season, the ‘Detective’ couple is trying to handle the crime in the city, as they figure out their family.
