Rittika Sen is all set to make her OTT debut with Abhimanyu Mukherjee’s next ‘Avishapto’. The 8-episode web series also stars Gourab Chatterjee and Laboni Sarkar in the lead. Billed as an edgy dark thriller, the series promises to captivate the audience with its eerie plot. The recently released trailer of the show is proof of that.

The story begins with the sudden disappearance of Aparna's friend a long time ago. Cut to the present day, soon after Aparna’s marriage she starts staying with her in-laws. However, Aparna realizes that something is wrong in the house. Everything is very mysterious but where does the mystery lie? She then comes to know that there is a curse upon her in-law’s family and so the members are abided by some strange rituals. Meanwhile, two more girls go missing. What happens next forms the crux of the story.
This will be interesting to see Rittika in such a challenging role. The actress is currently more focused on her career down south and has a slew of projects in the coming months. She has already shared that whatever work she will be doing in Bengali has to be something unique.
The series will start streaming on June 16.
