December is doubly blessed for enthusiasts of the ‘Fate/stay’ franchise. Firstly, with the movie trilogy for ‘Fate/stay Night’: Heaven's Feel having found its new home on OTT, and now with the first episode of a new series for Fate/strange Fake being released, fans will have much to look forward to this coming holiday season.
Fans got a first peek at the series that will soon be available on Crunchyroll when Fate/strange Fake's official English Twitter account (previously X) posted a brand-new trailer with subtitles on Nov. 23, 2024. On December 31, 2024, the show will debut globally in its original Japanese with English subtitles, providing franchise fans with an exciting New Year's Eve treat. The first 25-minute episode was also given a special debut at the Fate 20th Anniversary Showcase by Aniplex USA on the same day. It is presently available for viewing (for a week only) on YouTube in English dubbing. You can watch the new English subtitled trailer for the next series below.
In December, a brand-new ‘Fate/stay’ anime spinoff series will debut.
Many of the show's team members will be familiar to longtime franchise fans, such as directors Takahito Sakazume and Shun Enokido, who both directed 2023's Fate/strange Fake -Whispers of Dawn-. The latter was also a key animator on Fate/Grand Order and an episode director on Fate/Apocrypha. In the meantime, Yukei Yamada created the character designs for Fate/Apocrypha and Fate/Strange Fake (Whispers of Dawn). Many of the original voice actors from the latter will also appear in the new series.
Further, the movie trilogy Fate/Stay Night: Heaven's Feel will be on air on Crunchyroll in December. It will have a webcast on December 19, 2024, at 5 PM PT. One can watch it in ten countries: the Channel Islands, Malta, Gibraltar, the Isle of Man, South Africa, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Latin America. It was animated by Studio Ufotable, who made Garden of Sinners and Demon Slayer. The names for the trilogy are Spring Song (2020), Lost Butterfly (2019), and Presage Flower (2017). So, the three-part series was a box office hit in Japan as all of them opened at number one at the box office over its first weekend. English dub, Portuguese, Spanish, and English subtitles will be ready for viewing on Crunchyroll.
