Padine, who plays the lead role of ‘Anitha’ in the popular Tamil medical web series, is back in Heart Beat Season 2 with more drama, emotion, and intensity. In an exclusive chat with ETimes TV, the talented actress opened up about her acting journey, the evolution of her character, and what fans can expect from the highly anticipated new season.

Speaking about the evolution of her character, Padine shared, “Anitha goes through a rollercoaster path in this season. There are so many emotional shifts and character changes. She’s a versatile personality, and I see portraying her as a big challenge. But it’s also what makes the role exciting and rewarding.”

When asked how Heart Beat 2 differs from its predecessor, Padine teased, “Fans can expect new twists and turns, especially with the introduction of new characters. The storyline deepens, and there’s a lot more emotional complexity this time around.”

While Heart Beat 2 dives into the emotional realities of the medical world, filming wasn’t all serious. “We had lots of fun behind the scenes, especially with the new team members. There was great energy on set, and I really enjoyed working with everyone,” she revealed.

Padine also reflected on the emotional and professional weight of being part of Tamil’s first medical drama. “This show stands out not just for the medical angle, but for highlighting the human side of medical professionals. Some scenes were quite emotional and tough to shoot, but they’re also what make the show relatable.”

Portraying Anitha has had a profound impact on Padine. “Professionally, it’s a huge honour. The character brought me so much appreciation. Personally, this is a big step forward, it’s giving me the platform to show my talent to the world.”

With the booming success of OTT platforms, Padine sees herself exploring more digital roles. “I personally love web series, I’m a fan! I’d definitely love to take on more challenging roles in upcoming projects.”
