Why Kiren Rijiju's daughter asked him to talk to his 'boss'
NEW DELHI: Politicians are parents too and no matter how important your work is, when a daughter calls, father abides. An example of this went viral on social media when
Minister of state for home, Rijiju posted a video on his Twitter account in which his daugher is seen requesting him to attend the grandparents day programme at her school.
"Papa, tomorrow is grandparents' day at school. You must come tomorrow. Mama always comes to my school, she sees my performance...the fish dance," says Rijiju's daughter while sitting on the bed with her father.
In order to make her case even stronger, she says that her grandparents are able to attend her school function even though they have to come from a village far away.
"But you never ever come to my school. How can that be, Papa? My grandparents come to Delhi from far village," she goes on.
When Rijiju reasons that he is busy with work, the pleading daughter further suggests what could her father do to make time for her school program.
"You have office but just say to your boss that I have to come to my daughter's school. Then your boss can forgive you," she said.
In another post, the 47-year-old politician then posted a picture with his daughter at her school providing evidence that the father was finally able to fulfil her daughter's innocent request.
The video has now been re-tweeted 1,200 times.
