I was called for auditions but rejected since I was a TV actor, says Nirupam Paritala

Actor Nirupam Paritala, the son of renowned writer-actor Ohmkar Paritala, is rather more popular with his screen name 'Karthik'. "I had people telling me that Karthik suits me better than Nirupam. Perhaps, I may have to make Karthik my middle name now (laughs). But the name brought luck to me and given a possibility, I would love to have all my characters named 'Karthik'," says Nirupam in a freewheeling chat with TimesofIndia.com where he gets candid like never before. He struck gold with his first serial Chandramukhi and manages to continue the hit streak with Karthika Deepam, a popular Telugu daily soap that has been consistently topping the TRP charts from a long while.
