Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah: Producer Asit Kumarr Modi tweets his statement after Maharashtra Navnirman Sena demands apology

Makers of 'Tarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashmah' seemed to have landed in troubled waters after they called 'Hindi' as Mumbai's most common language. An open threat from Raj Thackery's party Maharashtra Navnirman Sena was sent to the makers after the episode was aired. Later, the president of cinema wing Ameya Khopkar also demanded an apology from the show makers. Now, the show's producer, Asit Kumarr Modi, has stated in his tweet that there's no doubt that Marathi is the main language in Mumbai. He further wrote that he is an Indian, a Maharashtrian and also a Gujarati and as an Indian, he respects all languages equally.
