Singer Pawandeep Rajan, who was recently declared the winner of the singing reality show 'Indian Idol 12' is riding high on success. Garnering a lot of praise for his melodious voice, he has now been announced as the brand ambassador of Uttarakhand's Art, Tourism and Culture by the Chief Minister of the state Pushkar Singh Dhami. The singer met DHami at his residence in Dehradun where he was honoured with the position. To announce the same, the Chief Minister took to his Twitter handle and shared a series of pictures of his meeting with the young singer. He also penned a tweet in Hindi which read, 'Our government has decided to make @RajanPawandeep the brand ambassador of Uttarakhand in art, tourism and culture, who raised the value of Dev Bhoomi in the world of music. Pawandeep Rajan has illuminated the name of the state in the country and the world with his talent by rising from normal situations.' In another tweet, the Chief Minister dropped a video wherein Pawandeep could be seen singing a regional song and the CM along with few others from his entourage were enjoying his soulful voice. Another talented artist, who hails from Uttarakhand, Dancer Raghav Juyal also congratulated the singer on becoming the brand ambassador and penned this note, 'Congratulations @pawandeeprajan Uttrakhand’s CM Pushkar Singh announces the name of the Indian Idol 12 Winner Pawandeep Rajan as the state’s Art, Tourism and Culture brand Ambassador. Pawan met the CM at the Chief Minister residence today.' Pawandeep was announced as the winner of 'Indian Idol 12' on August 15. He took home prize money of 25 lakhs, a car, along with the coveted trophy. This is not the first singing reality show Pawandeep has won. Earlier in the year 2015, he was declared the winner of the show 'The Voice'.
