India's ISRO celebrated a significant milestone with the successful soft landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the moon's south pole. A full-scale model of the Vikram lander, inaugurated by Chandrayaan 3's Project Director, Dr. P Veeramuthuvel, offers an up-close view of the achievement. The historic event took place on August 23, 2023, making India the fourth nation globally to accomplish a soft moon landing, following the United States, Russia, and China. The feat marks a remarkable achievement in India's space exploration endeavors and opens new horizons for lunar research and exploration.
