Watch: Locals celebrate Easter midnight mass at Margao, South Goa

Easter, which marks the resurrection of Jesus Christ, was celebrated with religious fervour in the Christian-majority regions of Goa on Sunday. Devotees congregated across the commercial capital Margao in South Goa at midnight singing hymns. Churches across the state held special Easter services, offering thanksgiving prayers. Christians worldwide celebrate Easter with special church services, music, candlelight, flowers and the ringing of church bells. They view Easter as the greatest feast of the Church year. It is a day of joy and celebration to commemorate that Jesus Christ is risen, according to Christian belief.Video source: PTI
