In a historic and significant occasion, Siddaramaiah has been sworn in as the Chief Minister of Karnataka for the second time. Assisting him in leading the state, D K Shivakumar was sworn in as the Deputy Chief Minister, alongside eight legislators who took their oaths as Ministers. This momentous ceremony follows the remarkable victory of the Congress party in the Karnataka Assembly elections, precisely one week ago. The oath-taking ceremony, conducted by Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot, was held at Sree Kanteerava Stadium, a place of great significance as Siddaramaiah had previously taken his first oath as Chief Minister there in 2013. This event marks a new chapter in Karnataka's governance under the seasoned leadership of Siddaramaiah.
