Flash floods and cloudburst triggered by heavy rainfall in Amarnath have led to thousands of pilgrims being displaced and stuck. While nearly 1500 stranded pilgrims were shifted to the lower base camp of Panjtarni since the tragedy happened, the death toll rose to 16 on Saturday while searches for the missing people continued without a break. Security forces continue to relentlessly rescue injured pilgrims and shift them to hospitals for treatment.
