US President Joe Biden announced strikes in Yemen against Iran-backed Houthi rebels. President biden said that it demonstrates the US and its allies' intolerance for Houthi attacks on the Red Sea. He said tht strikes were carried out after diplomatic negotiations and careful consideration. Biden underscored the response to Houthi attacks on international maritime vessels.“These strikes are in direct response to unprecedented Houthi attacks against international maritime vessels in the Red Sea — including the use of anti-ship ballistic missiles for the first time in history,” Biden said in a statement. On the other hand, Four Royal Air Force typhoons have conducted precision strikes on two Houthi military targets alongside US forces, UK Secretary of State for Defence Rt Hon Grant Shapps said.
