Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut waded into the controversy over the release of the radical leader Amritpal Singh's aide. In a tweet on 24 February, Kangana wrote, “Whatever is happening in Punjab I predicted two years ago, many cases were filed on me, arrest warrant was issued against me, my car was attacked in Punjab, lekin wahi hua na jo maine kaha tha,now is the time non- Khalistani Sikhs need to make there position and intension clear." Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav said on Friday the police had exercised utmost restraint to maintain the Guru Granth Sahib's 'maryada' on Thursday when radical Sikh preacher Amritpal Singh and his supporters attacked cops at Ajnala police station in Amritsar district in a "cowardly manner under the garb of Guru Granth Sahib."
