Tharoor Says Colombia Retracted Earlier Statement Expressing Condolences To Pak After Indian Strikes

In a major diplomatic shift, Colombia is set to issue a statement strongly backing India's position on terrorism after initially expressing condolences over Pakistani deaths in India's May 7 anti-terror strikes. Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, who led the Indian delegation, confirmed Bogotá had withdrawn its earlier stance following high-level discussions. BJP leader Taranjit Singh Sandhu credited the delegation’s explanation for reversing Colombia’s position. Tharoor emphasized there can be no equivalence between terror sponsors and nations acting in self-defence. Watch
