Starving Civilians as 'Weapon of War': Israel's Bold Disregard of ICJ Ruling Deepens Gaza's Crisis
Israel has failed to comply with a legally binding order from the International Court of Justice (ICJ). Human Rights Watch (HRW) said that Israel has acted in clear breach of the ICJ order. The ICJ had instructed Israel to take immediate measures to provide humanitarian aid to Gaza. Israel was also required to report back on its compliance within one month. However, despite the order, Israel allegedly obstructed the provision of basic aid to Gaza. The obstruction includes limiting the entry and distribution of fuel and lifesaving aid. Human Rights Watch calls it a collective punishment for starving Gazans. The HRW has condemned Israel's actions, stating that it endangers the lives of Gaza's 2.3 million palestinians. The organization accused Israel of ignoring the court's ruling and intensifying repression against Palestinians.
