Over 1000 flights cancelled, delayed in US after winter storm heavily affected people in Northeast

The Northeast region of The United States was hit by a swift winter storm on Tuesday, bringing varied snowfall levels. It has disrupted daily life in the region. Snow accumulation ranged from modest in New York City to significant in parts of Pennsylvania and Connecticut. Speed and unpredictability of the storm highlighted challenges in forecasting winter weather. Travel was heavily affected, with over 1,000 flights cancelled or delayed, particularly in New York City and Boston. Over 32 million people were under a winter storm warning issued by the National Weather Service. Storm named Lorraine caused widespread disruptions in travel and schooling.
