Candidates for the panchayat elections in an Odisha village were called for a written and oral test by villagers. The test is not for awarding marks but for the villagers to get an idea about the calibre of the candidates, so that they can vote accordingly. The test was organised by a village falling in Ward 8 of Kutra panchayat in Sundargarh district. The candidates had to give oral and written answers for 7 questions at a meeting organised at the local church.
