Odisha train accident update: CBI arrests 3 railway employees

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) today arrested three railway employees in connection with the Balasore train accident. CBI arrested senior Section engineer Arun Kumar Mohanta, section engineer Mohammad Amir Khan and technician Pappu Kumar. They have been booked under sections 304, 201 of the IPC. Balasore train tragedy probe has confirmed that error and negligence on the part of the Signal and Telecommunication department staff had led to the tragic rail accident on June 2. The Balasore double train accident killed 293 people making it one of the worst rail tragedies in the country.
