Massive Investment of Rs 1 lakh crores planned for airports by combining private and government sectors: Jyotiraditya Scindia
Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia revealed an astonishing development in India's airport infrastructure. Over the past nine years, India has witnessed remarkable progress, witnessing the construction of 74 additional airports, heliports, and waterdromes. This achievement doubled the existing count from 74 to 148. Looking ahead, the ambitious plan aims to surpass 200 airports within the next four years. To facilitate this expansion, a combined investment of Rs 1 lakh crores from both private and government sectors has been proposed, signaling a significant boost in India's aviation sector.
