Leader of the Opposition in Rajya Sabha and Congress president, Mallikarjun Kharge hit out at the NDA government. He raised the issue of Dalits entering temples where they were thrashed. " SCs are beaten up upon entering temple, if they are considered Hindu why aren't SCs allowed in temple or allowed to be educated?" the Congress president said. "Many ministers show off pictures of them eating at SCs home," he added.
