A Zomato food delivery man was allegedly thrashed by a customer and his friends. Vinit Kumar went to deliver an order in Lucknow’s Aashiana area late on June eighteenth. The delivery man claims he also faced casteist abuse. An FIR has been registered.Kumar said that the buyer came out of the house and asked Kumar his name and caste. On learning that I belonged to a Scheduled Caste, he used casteist remarks, Kumar said. The buyer reportedly said that he will not accept an order from the hands of an untouchable. Kumar also alleged that the accused spat on his face and thrashed him, along with 10 to 12 other people, who came out of his house.
