India has lodged a strong protest after the International Monetary Fund approved a $1 billion loan to Pakistan despite escalating tensions and cross-border attacks. Jammu & Kashmir CM Omar Abdullah sharply criticized the IMF, warning that the funds could be misused to fuel terrorism. India abstained from the vote and accused Pakistan of possibly diverting the funds for military misadventures against India. Watch
