Goa police bust international sex racket using QR codes

Goa police uncovered an international sex racket that had gone digital, using QR code payments. This illicit operation, managed from Kenya but based in Goa, involved sex workers providing QR codes to clients for payment, which was then funnelled to the traffickers. To ensure payment and prevent clients from escaping without paying, QR code/UPI payments were made upfront. Two Kenyan nationals were arrested for running the racket, and five victimized women were rescued with the assistance of an NGO.
