Delhi faces soaring cases of dengue, malaria, and chikungunya amid rainfall and floods
Delhi Health Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj has raised concern about the escalating cases of vector-borne diseases in the national capital. On July 28, he expressed that the usual trend of an increase in Dengue, Chikungunya, and Malaria, which was observed in August and September, is now being noticed in July this year. He highlighted that heavy rainfall during April, May, June, and July, breaking previous records, has contributed to the surge in such diseases. This pattern is not limited to Delhi alone but has been observed in other North-Indian states as well. In response to the situation, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has conducted a high-level meeting involving all relevant departments to address the issue.
