West Bengal Verdict: Three Key BJP Candidates Win Across Hingalganj, Panihati and Ausgram

A strong political wave is seen in West Bengal as three prominent BJP-linked candidates register major victories across key constituencies. Rekha Patra, who became a prominent face during the Sandeshkhali protests, has won from Hingalganj by 5,421 votes. Ratna Debnath, mother of the RG Kar hospital victim, has secured a decisive win in Panihati by 28,836 votes. Meanwhile, Kalita Maji, a grassroots BJP worker and house help from Ausgram, has staged a strong comeback, winning by 12,535 votes.The results highlight a significant shift in voter sentiment, with grassroots candidates and emotionally resonant figures playing a key role in shaping the outcome of the West Bengal Assembly elections.
