The Election Commission has ordered a temporary ban on hotel stays for non-residents across select constituencies in West Bengal ahead of polling. The restriction, enforced under the Model Code of Conduct and provisions of the Representation of the People Act, aims to ensure a free and fair electoral process during the final 48 hours before voting.
