The officials from Women Development and Child Welfare (WD&CW) department performed the marriage of an orphan girl, who grew up in a Sishu Vihar in the city, on Wednesday. Officials said that the bride--Sindhu, who left the orphanage after completing her class 10 during 2012-2013 and has been living in a rented accommodation ever since, approached them and requested to perform her marriage. The ceremony was organized at the Transit home on the premises of the commissioner of WD&CW. MLA Maganti Gopinath, Hyderabad District Collector L Sharman, Officials from WD&CW Department-- KRS Laxmi Devi, Joint Director, P Sharada, Regional Joint Director, among others attended the wedding. While Sindhu works at a department store chain in Begumpet, Upender is working as a delivery boy for a food delivery company.
