IRCTC has launched a major crackdown on suspicious ticket-booking activity, deactivating over 3 crore user IDs and placing another 6 crore accounts under verification. The move is aimed at curbing misuse of the reservation system and improving ticket access for genuine passengers. At the same time, IRCTC has expanded AI-powered monitoring across more than 800 railway kitchens through nearly 2,400 smart cameras that detect hygiene violations, pests and food safety lapses in real time.
