Watch: Doctors conduct surgery on cobra to remove plastic cap from abdomen

Doctors conducted surgery to remove a plastic cap from a 3.5 ft long Monocled cobra's abdomen in Bhubaneswar. After the surgery snake is kept under observation for a week. The snake was found at an under-construction site in the Basudeb Nagar area of the city. The owner of the site called the snake helpline volunteer to rescue the snake. The volunteer spotted a lump on the cobra's abdomen. He took the snake to a doctor and they conducted an x-ray and decided to perform surgery on the abdomen to remove the object, which was a cap of a bottle.
