With India sending aid to the earthquake-crippled Turkey, Union Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan on February 09 at the Hindon Airbase informed about the kind words by Ambassador of Turkey to India Fırat Sunel pertaining India’s help. The Turkish envoy extolled India over its assistance amid the destruction caused by the series of earthquakes and dubbed India as the country that was the first one to send help at a huge scale. The MoS further informed that India will send further aid based on the requirements by quake-hit Turkey. Indie dispatched its 3rd batch of the NDRF team as help to Turkey on February 08. Turkey and Syria were hit by a series of earthquakes on February 06 that has claimed more than 11000 lives. Turkey alone is mourning the loss of more than 9000 lives as rescue operation to save the injured is going on.
