Uttarakhand: Heavy rains disrupt normal life in Chamoli district

Heavy showers in Uttarakhand have disrupted normal life in Chamoli district. Landslides have been reported across Pipal Koti, Bihori, Lambagad, Kathrapal and Bajpur area, while the Rishikesh-Badrinath NH-58 route has been blocked since July 12 night. A bus got stuck into debris at Pipalkoti and a portion of the road has been washed away by heavy rains at Bihori in Chamoli district. Pilgrims on Char-dham yatra are facing problems and livelihood of the locals is also getting disrupted.
