UP Consumers Face Higher Electricity Bills As UPPCL Introduces Fuel Surcharge From June

Uttar Pradesh consumers are likely to see a sharp rise in electricity bills from June after UPPCL announced an additional fuel surcharge. The utility says the move is aimed at recovering increased fuel and power procurement costs, while consumers and opposition voices are expected to question the timing amid ongoing complaints of power outages.
