Two tragic deaths in Uttar Pradesh have ignited a storm over the SIR (Special Summary Revision) workload as frontline BLOs struggle under enormous pressure. Sarvesh Singh, a BLO from Moradabad, died by suicide after days of sleeplessness, digital stress and fear of losing his job. In Bijnor, 56-year-old Shobha Rani died of a heart attack after working late nights to finish her target. Their families say SIR pressure killed them. Officials say there is “no link.” But with seven BLO deaths within days - suicides, heart attacks, brain haemorrhages - questions are exploding.
