UEFA Euro 2020: Google Doodle kicks off delayed European Football Championship

The Google Doodle marks the start of the UEFA European Football Championship. This year is the first time that the tournament’s 51 matches will be held in a dozen European host cities. The delayed Euro 2020 is a year behind schedule due to the pandemic. The action kicks off at Rome's Stadio Olimpico, where Italy take on Turkey in front of 16,000 fans.
