Tharoor Exposes Reality of LPG Shortages, Questions Modi Govt’s Claims
Congress MP Shashi Tharoor has raised concerns about LPG availability in India, especially for rural households. He said that while supplies of petrol, diesel and kerosene remain stable, the increasing shift from traditional fuels like wood and coal to cylinder gas in villages has led to difficulties when LPG cylinders are not readily available. Tharoor noted that such shortages can disrupt daily cooking for millions of families. He stressed the need for collective efforts to address the issue quickly and called for steps to ensure smoother LPG distribution, particularly in rural areas, so that households can access cylinders without difficulty and maintain energy security.
