Supreme Court upholds demonetisation, rejects pleas challenging Govt's 2016 decision

A five-judge Supreme Court Constitution bench delivered its judgement today on a bunch of 58 petitions which had challenged the validity of the Centre's November-2016 decision to demonetise Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 currency notes. The SC said the decision cannot be reversed.
