Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya took part in the 'Meri Maati, Mere Desh' celebration as part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. He shared that this year, a diverse range of activities and events will be held at various levels - village, panchayat, block, urban local bodies, state, and national to encourage 'Jan Bhagidari' and honor India's freedom.He expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi for launching an initiative that honors the forgotten heroes of the nation and their sacrifices.He outlined plans for an 'Amrit Kalash Yatra,' transporting soil in 7,500 kalashes from across the country, to construct an 'Amrit Vatika' in Delhi. This symbolic garden will epitomize the commitment to 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.'Overall, Governor Acharya's presence marked the commemoration of India's spirit and unity through the 'Meri Maati, Mere Desh' campaign, a part of the ongoing Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations.
