BJP leader Sambit Patra on Sunday criticised the Opposition’s ‘vote chor, gaddi chhod’ rally at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan, saying it could undermine public confidence in the election process. Patra highlighted that Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, through their ‘Ghuspaithiya Bachao Yatra’, made statements against the Election Commission of India and its officials. He added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah had presented the government’s position on electoral reforms in Parliament. Patra also reiterated that constitutional institutions must be respected and emphasised the importance of maintaining democratic processes in India.
