Punjab: Devotees celebrate Hola Mohalla festival at Golden Temple in Amritsar

On the occasion of Hola Mohalla, Scores of Sikh devotees offered prayers at the Golden Temple in Amritsar on March 08. Holla Mohalla is dedicated to the Sikh community, especially the armed order called Nihang. The festivities include a display of martial arts, horse-riding, and reciting poetry, primarily to pay homage to the bravery of Sikh warriors. Later, the festival is followed by dance, music and spraying of colours.
