PT Usha set to be elected first woman chief of the Indian Olympic Association
Sports icon PT Usha is set to become the first woman to head the Indian Olympic Association. She has emerged as the lone candidate for the top post for the elections scheduled to be held on December 10. 58-year-old Usha is multiple Asian Games gold medallist and a fourth-place finisher in the 1984 Olympics 400m hurdles final. PT Usha filed her nomination papers for the top job on November 27, the last day for filing nominations.
