After a gap of three months, the country’s top wrestlers are once again staging a sit-in protest at Jantar Mantar, demanding the “immediate arrest” of Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. The wrestlers present at the protest site on Sunday were Bajrang Punia, Sakshi Malik, Vinesh Phogat, Sangeeta Phogat, Satyawrat Kadian, Somveer Rathi and Jitender Kinha, among others. Talking to TOI, Bajrang, Sakshi and Vinesh said they had filed a complaint at the Connaught Place police station on Friday, stating seven female wrestlers, including one minor, were “molested, tortured and exploited” by Brij Bhushan in his capacity as WFI president. The wrestlers refused to reveal the names.
