Himachal Pradesh CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu informed about the current situation of the state as it has been battered by continuous rainfall for the last three-four days. He informed that the state has suffered a loss of around Rs. 4000 crore. He said, “From Manali, around 2,500 cars have been evacuated. 7000 more cars are stranded there. We have rescued many people from Kasol also. Our priority is to safely evacuate tourists and then focus on the restoration of electricity, power and water supply. Deputy CM and other ministers are also taking care of the situation. We have evacuated around 50% of the stranded tourists. Around Rs 4,000 crores worth of properties have been damaged.”
