Presidential polls: NDA picks Draupadi Murmu as its candidate

BJP-led NDA today named Draupadi Murmu as their presidential candidate for the upcoming elections. Draupadi Murmu, the former governor of Jharkhand, is likely to file her nomination on June 25. "For the first time, preference has been given to a woman tribal candidate. We announce Draupadi Murmu as NDA's candidate for the upcoming Presidential elections," BJP president JP Nadda said.
