PNB scam: Antigua and Barbuda examining India’s request for extradition of Mehul Choksi, says MEA

Antigua and Barbuda are examining India’s request to extradite fugitive business man Mehul Choksi, said the Ministry of external affairs (MEA). Raveesh Kumar, MEA spokesperson said that a request for the extradition of Mehul Choksi has been submitted to Antigua and Barbuda on August 3 and they are examining the same. Nirav Modi and Mehul Choksi face various charges in India in connection with $2 billion PNB fraud. MEA spokesperson said that it will be premature to talk about response of Antigua to India’s request.
