Amid persistent uproar by Opposition members demanding a statement from Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the Manipur situation in Parliament, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MP Danish Ali on July 25 lashed out at PM Modi and said that he does not have time to come to Parliament and give a statement on Manipur issue. “This country will run on policy and principle. This country will run on the Constitution made by Bhim Rao Ambedkar. Rhyming work is done by mimicry artists and poets. 140 crore people of the country chose the Prime Minister. We want the Prime Minister to behave accordingly as per the dignity of the post. Manipur is burning and misbehavior with our mothers and sisters has been happening for two months but PM Modi does not have any time to come to the Parliament and give a statement on the Manipur issue. Parliamentary traditions are being flouted,” says Danish Ali.
