Pitru Paksha 2023: Significance of 'Pind Daan' during 'Pitra Paksha', how Shradh rituals are performed

According to Drik Panchang, Pitru Paksha, also known as Shraddh Paksha, will begin on September 29 and conclud on October 14 this year. In Sanatan Dharma, it's believed that ancestors return during this 15-day period. Hindus perform Pind Daan and Shradh rituals, including offering Tarpan mixed with water, flour, sesame, barley, and kusha grass. Performing these rituals is thought to bring satisfaction to the departed souls, aiding their salvation as per sacred texts.
