In yet another attack on the functioning of Narendra Modi government during his UK tour, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has said that the Opposition in India is not allowed to raise important issues in Parliament. He said that when Opposition members try to raise issues, their mikes are switched off. ‘It is shameful, but true,’ he said. The programme was allowed inside the House of Commons complex by Labour Party MP Virendra Sharma. He said that India is an open country, but the Narendra Modi government has destroyed this atmosphere.
