Operation Kaveri: Nearly 3,000 Indians evacuated from crisis-hit Sudan
Operation Kaveri, launched by India to rescue stranded citizens from crisis-hit Sudan, has facilitated the departure of around 3,000 Indians. The 16th batch of evacuees, including senior citizens, left Sudan on an Indian Air Force C-130J flight bound for Jeddah with 122 passengers. The Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson, Arindam Bagchi, confirmed the successful operation, tweeting, "Nearly 3000 persons have now left Sudan under Operation Kaveri."
